A Typical Phrase For The Common Christian To Say
In John 3:3 Jesus says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." “There is only one way into the kingdom of God and that is by repenting of sin and turning to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord” (Relevant Bible Teaching, Brent Barnett). This is a typical phrase for the common Christian to say. I find people tend to use this a lot on the side of the road written in permanent marker on a piece of cardboard. Although true, I have to say people can take it a little extreme. Being “born again” are Gods words to us we can’t deny that. But maybe we are taking them out of context. For me personally I am born again because I have chosen to have a relationship with Christ. To walk with him daily (not physically) and to serve him full time with my whole heart. But that is just the brink of being “born again”. If you keep reading you will notice that Nicodemus was very confused by these words spoken by God (John 3:4). Being “born again” is a very humbling experience, I wake up everyday and feel like I’m born again. “After a fall out with Christ I feel born again”. Sometimes when I see the cardboard with the turn or burn logos on them or see I guy/girl spitting and shouting Gods going to strike you down if you’re not born again. “I’m not questioning God, just those he choose to carry his cross”. I don’t have all the right answers but I know that I will show Christ and his love better through loving people and a simple conversation of believing in Him. Take it, leave it, it’s Just something to think about.
