Nevertheless

Last week I started this new thing with some staffers. Every Monday-Wednesday at 8:30am we meet and talk about what we've got planned on getting accomplished that day. We also have our daily devo. It hit me hard and personally Monday. We started talking about self-discipline. We all need self-discipline in our lives and we need to break the tradition from our past. My schedule makes it hard sometimes to get there at 8:30am. I know that I have to have self-discipline with this. Not knowing how to accomplish this by myself I went and reread the scripture they read that morning. 2 Samuel 5, 6-8 focusing on verse 7"Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion that is, the city of David.” Nevertheless as David did. When I feel that I don't want to get up, or when I start focusing on other people and what they’re doing versus myself I have to say nevertheless. I'm called to do what God has called me to do - just do it nevertheless.
