Music That Surrounds Us

So this movie my wife took me to tonight. I have to say it's by far one of my favorite movies. I have heard by some locals that say it's awful, I disagree. This movie is made from a deep writers point of you. People who just like music will not like this movie. It takes a special person to appreciate this film. I thought the actors and actresses were great, they played their roles as written. I give it a 5 out of 5. I will say there is a part at the front where this kid is playing an acoustic guitar and then it's the same guitar but it sounds like an electric. Of course it's Hollywood anythings possible. Go see the movie if you are about music not being just about noise but how it's a reminder from God that there's more to the world than just living day after day. It reminds us that music surrounds us for a purpose that leads our paths together.

Friday Day/Night Movie

Tonight Casey and I took our nephew to see Alvin & The Chipmunks new movie. I have to say I was just excited as he was to see it. We left about 3:30pm today to see it. 3 theaters and 4 hours later we got to see it. All the theaters that was showing this movie was sold out until 7:30pm. After the movie I felt like a kid again. The only thing I didn't like about the film was it didn't show Christmas enough. It is well worth seeing. Here's a little trailer below just in case you never saw it.

"Highway Eyes"

New songs are on the way. As I ride and look at the world through my "Highway Eyes" I notice how beautiful but how dark the world truly is. So needless to say I have found a new way of writing. Here's a little taste:

Drinking To Breathe (The Flood)
By: Chasen Callahan

So Many years to make this city few short years will tell it all
How it fell and how it marks the place where all the sinners march
O yes the few short years will tell it all.

Cause
The Flood swept through these empty sex filled streets
And the night grew long as the water rose
Now as I walked these streets my heart nearly skips a beat
Cause their in over there heads but they’re still drinking to breath

After all the devastation the land was filled with looting and poverty
Their skewed minds lead to tents outside where they choose to live, live there lives against mans rules

Cause
The Flood swept through these empty sex filled streets
And the night grew long as the water rose
Now as I walked these streets my heart nearly skips a beat
Cause their in over there heads but they’re still drinking to breath

What do you say to a broke down heart that once was alive but now is torn apart.
What do you say to a beat down soul that once was young but now is old?
the flood that forever haunts there dreams & makes our God the one they hate/ o what do you say.

Cause
The Flood swept through these empty sex filled streets
And the night grew long as the water rose
Now as I walked these streets my heart nearly skips a beat
Cause their in over there heads but they’re still drinking to breath

Sweep in sweep in water sweep in and wash the streets clean
Make these bitter souls pure again

A Little Under The Weather In 4 States

Well my friends I have to say that I am under the weather. Me being a southern boy, I can't handle the cold northern snowy weather. we hit St Lois and from there on out it was all down hill. We played at a place called the crave and it was a cool little place to play we had some fans drive 1 hour to see us play. It was great we had a chance to make new friends and bring people closer home for Christmas. From there we drove through the night to Pawnee IL for the next morning. We really appreciated the worship service and the message that morning it's always good to have somewhere to go and hear the message and get fed. We left there and drove through the night to Toledo OH. We had an on air interview the next morning with Yes FM, what a great radio satiation. We had a lot of great response from the interview and we realized that we are really loved by the Yes FM listeners. We had a show that night in Walbridge OH at the Grounded Gourmet Coffee shop. We had some great ribs at Chris and his wifes (the owners) house. We also got to spend some quality time with John from WMUZ in Detroit, he drove down to hear us play. At the coffee shop people were lined up waiting to get in from the bitter cold and the place was packed. It was a great night and it will be one of those nights we will remember. We had a show last night in Grundy VA, what a place. On the drive over the mountains we laughed our heads off. We saw a horse from the outside eating inside a trailer and on the other side there was a car that had drove through the trailer. Once we got into Grundy it was a little better but they are doing some major construction in the city and when I say construction I mean they are rebuilding the whole city. We had fun and we are ready to go. So I know this was a little longer blog than usual but I had a lot to say. If you know any ideas on how to get rid of this nasal congestion please leave a comment below. Well until next time.
